I like to think everyday is YOUTH ART DAY and I hope the students feel special as they celebrate art-making every day.  However, March is Youth Art Month.  This is a month set aside to highlight the children and the programs of Art Education.  This is a great time to go to a museum, talk about art with your family, create art!

One of the things we are doing for Youth Art Month is participating in the Kiwanis Club Art Showcase this weekend.  Twenty-two students will have their art on display this weekend at the annual Kiwanis Club Art Showcase.  The Showcase highlights art from all grades around this general geographical area.  The high school work is jaw-dropping amazing!

I hope to see our artists and their family at 2 o'clock for the showing.  It's taking place at King's Ridge Christian School in Milton.  For all of you art fan and general SBCE fans, this is a great (FREE) event to attend and view amazing art (while supporting your fellow students).
I can't wait and I hope to have some pictures to post next week.
