Today in Art

It's Tuesday.  It's almost Wednesday.  It's the second to last week of school.
Here's a teacher's dream: While working on a weaving project with my third graders, a student told me she created this exact project over the weekend and gave it to her mother for Mother's Day.  Ah!  What a pleasure to my ears!
Here's an art teacher's eternal question:  Where do the blue pipe cleaners go?  I'm pretty sure they are not being eaten or thrown away - but man, they sure disappear faster than anything else.  I can still hear the ringing in my ears, "Mrs. Elder, we're out of blue!".
Have a great day!

  1. I love it when kids go home and recreate a piece that they learned to make in class. It really is an awesome feeling to know you've inspired them :)
