Welcome back!

Hi Y'all!  Welcome back to another wonderful year of art at State Bridge Crossing.  We just completed our first week.  Whoo hoo!  My first through fifth graders played a trivia/Jeopardy-like game to review all the rules/procedures/ art room specifics, etc...  Although I tweaked it many times during the first two days, I'm very happy with how it turned out.  The kids knew a lot, but it was a very fun way to review and to hit on all the very important rules and procedures for art class.

We'll be doing a fun one week lesson in each class this upcoming week before we start out longer lessons.  I can't wait to start uploading pictures of the students creating.

I think the halls look very nice for the first of the year.  Except for the fifth graders last year, I kept one board's worth of the last project for each grade last year.  I displayed them before school started to give it a very artsy look and to already start showcasing the wonderful work of the children.

I'll leave you with a picture of a cute helper I had on the last day of pre-planning.

Alright friends, I can feel it.  This is going to be a great year!  Have a wonderful weekend.
