And they are off...

Whoa there!  It's been a whirlwind of the past two and 1/2 weeks!  Each grade spent the first two weeks in art learning (or reinforcing) the Art Room rule / procedures/ and expectations.  But that's not all!  They also created their very first piece of art.  Two weeks did not give all the grades time to finish, so they'll remain in their newly-made sketchbook to work on throughout the year.  The second graders created some really cool monochromatic self-portraits that I cannot wait to hang in the halls. I know you're on the edge of your seat to see the final product, but you'll have to wait just a bit!

We're now onto our first "REAL" lesson.  Man, the students seem to get more excited and creative every year!  I can't wait to update you on what's going on!  Stay tuned...

Welcome Back!

Hello!
I'm here, where are you?

I know this is going to be an awesome year in art here at State Bridge and I'm so excited to see all of your smiling, tan faces in just a few days.  I had a great summer teaching three art camps, traveling to the beach and Colorado, and making quality time to hang out with all my family here.

I have some new ideas to try out this year that I'm super stoked about!  I also have a few contemporary artists I found out about this summer that I'd love to create lessons for...so stay tuned!

I know you'll ask (kidding!) but my little baby is growing up so fast!  Here are a few fun shots of him:

Before you leave, check out this cool (short) video:

Enjoy the beautiful weather and I'll meet back up with you once we begin.
